Emily at (almost) 7!

At age seven (just short of a few days), Emily is a very headstrong and spirited girl!

• She loves sports and is getting better and better at soccer.  
• She enjoys school and likes her teacher, Ms. Justice, very much!  Her favorite subjects are art and PE.  Reading and writing are a bit of a struggle while math comes very easily.  
• She is most comfortable in t-shirts and athletic shorts and her favorite color is blue.  
• She loves to eat kid cuisines but never the pudding or corn and is happier to eat at Wendy's or Subway than any other restaurants.  
• She colors and draws pictures ALL of the time and enjoys watching shows on her iPad.  
• She still loves to give Mommy and Daddy big hugs and luckily still refers to us by those names rather than Mom and Dad.  
• She likes to build things out of Legos and really likes participating in Bricks4Kids, a Lego class at her after school program.  
• She enjoys having dance parties but does not like it when Mommy and Daddy sing along with her Kids Bop CDs.  
• She still loves her Steelers; although not quite as much during this losing season!  
• She is scared to death of losing her teeth but certainly likes the money left under her pillow by the tooth fairy!  
• She is very observant and will recognize when I buy something new (often telling me whether she likes it or not).  
• She likes to play with her Spy Gear and Backyard Safari toys.  

All in all, she is a pretty terrific girl and Mommy and Daddy are so blessed to have her in our lives!  She keeps us going (even when we're tired and worn out from work) and she keeps us young at heart seeing the world through a kid's point of view!  We love her very much and cannot think of a better way to celebrate our love every year by sharing our wedding anniversary with her birthday; although, at 2:49 am on October 13, 2006, I may have been singing a different tune after 22 hours of labor!  Then again, anything worth having is worth the hard work it takes to get it and that pretty much sums it up when it comes to my Emmy girl!
