1) She's just so stinkin' cute!

2) She made herself a name tag to indicate that she is the Boss! As if, we need a reminder!
3) The book fair and art auction were relatively painless and only set me back $25! She was excited to show me her art in the hallways (and purchase two of her pieces - the Owl shown below which is going to be a great addition to our ornament collection and a seascape) and see some of her friends too! One of the books she selected was about Martin Luther King Jr. which takes me back to first grade when I read a book and wrote a story about him which was published in the school newspaper (and so began my love of writing)!

4) She and her class are performing a play in Music class (well, probably more like a "Musical" than a "Play" considering it's Music class but who knows?) and she was selected to be a tree. Of course, the tree has no speaking parts and "doesn't do anything cool" according to her but again, I am reminded of my own childhood and always loving school plays! Hopefully she'll have fun too!
5) It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! Em has started wrapping random things like gifts and we took a trip to BABW on Sunday so she could spend the last of her birthday money (and some of Daddy's) on a new Rudolph!
