1) She keeps referring to her yearbook as her end-of-the-year book! I guess since she got it at the end of the year that makes sense :) She was so excited to show me all of the kids she knows in each grade and then asked me to sign it. Very cute!
2) She is very imaginative. This week she used a stack of boxes and drew a face on the top box and said it was a power ranger, then she took a paper towel roll and turned it into a sword so they (she and the boxes) could battle! Poor little only child - she has to make a playmate out of boxes and all of her "friends" she had dinner with on Thursday are stuffed animals! As you can see in the photo, she brought all of our fold up chairs into the living room and set them up around the coffee table. Each guest had their own food, drink and napkin and she selected a kid cuisine for herself!
3) Our little plants continue to grow. The radishes have really taken off and we're still waiting for some blooms on the flowers.
4) It's the last day of kindergarten and Emily couldn't be more excited and we couldn't be more proud of her! She's had a great year overall and seems to have really liked school (for the most part). She's a rising first grader now! The time is flying by and I just know that in no time, she'll be getting ready to leave PKES and headed to middle school and then high school. It's crazy! I might need to look into adoption so I can have another little kid around!
5) Her social schedule is filling up with all sorts of plans every weekend! She's gotten to the point where she is trying to schedule her own play dates with friends at their houses or at the pool.
