1) Valentine's Day! Of course she had to receive a new lego set as well as some candy! I guess she is trying to let me know to leave her gummi bears alone...very subtle!

2) Even though school was closed Tuesday afternoon through Friday last week, she was still lucky enough to have the President's Day holiday off from school too! Not only did we have snow last week, we had an earthquake too! No one in our house felt it but Grandma did in Rock Hill! And then on in the middle of the night on Tuesday, we had a crazy thunder and lightening storm. This weather is too much! And the forecast for next Saturday is showing snow!!
3) Grocery lists at our house are a family effort! You can see each person in our family has added something to our list this week.
4) It's been another crazy week! On Wednesday, Emily woke up with strep throat and was just pitiful all day long! Since it is so contagious, she was written out of school for Thursday as well and had to spend the day with Daddy at the store! Sometime after lunchtime, she finally got a little spring in her step and proceeded to take her "boss" role very seriously! Thank goodness Ms. Shelby was a good sport and played along with it!
5) She was happy to go back to school today and finally exchange Valentine's cards with her friends (only a week late)!
Here's hoping that things are a little less crazy next week!
