A month in the life of the Anders family!

So much for doing a better job updating the blog weekly once school started!  It seems like things are always so crazy and we never get a chance to catch our breath these days.  Since my last update, Emily has gotten into the swing of things at school and continues to really like her teacher this year.  Rob and I do too!  She's starting off the year with really fantastic grades and we're both very proud of her.

The first week of September, Rob and Emily both had eye appointments and got new glasses. Emily's seem to really be helping at homework time which typically has been filled with tears and tantrums; both of which have seemed to subside tremendously since she started wearing her glasses to complete her mountain of work every evening.  Third grade is intense!

As always, September is filled with multiple fundraisers for our family.  Emily had her Boosterthon Fun Run on the 17th and raised $255 for her school.  We continue to raise funds and awareness for the Walk to End Alzheimer's which takes place this Saturday the 26th and Rob will participate in the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride on Sunday the 27th.

Emily and I are both enjoying the fact that football season is underway and love watching her Steelers play each week.

The soccer season is progressing nicely with her team having won both of its games so far this season.  The first game's score was 8-2 and Emily made one goal and blocked multiple goals when she was playing in the keeper position.  She missed the second game due to being out of town but the score was 3-0.
