1) Her play date with Ellie B. went off without a hitch! She had a great time and was incredibly excited that she was able to be dropped off. She played with Ellie, her big sister and her big sister's friend. She loaded up on junk food, had a water gun fight and came back with her familiar summer scent - sweat and sunscreen! A perfect day. I guess we'll know if Ellie had a good time if Emily receives an invitation to come back over!
2) On Tuesday evening, we were able to take a break from our usual routine of playing outside and stayed indoors and had a game night. Chutes and Ladders, Candy Land and probably about 20 rounds of Uno..18 of which she won! The girl loves a competition and loves it even more when she wins which she excitedly sang about and shook her booty!
3) Granddad is planning on getting us tickets to a Steelers game in Pittsburgh this season and Emily couldn't be more excited about it! She said since football is in the fall and so is her birthday, going to a "real life Steelers game in Pittsburgh is going to be the BEST birthday present EVER!"
4) We're getting ready for our trip to the beach and she has every detail planned out. Pirate cruise, paint your own pattery (not pottery), movies, trips to the pool, a 4th of July bike parade. She is super excited and I know Rob and I are definitely looking forward to a much needed break from the daily grind.
5) Wednesday night was movie night...she picked Cars 2. We had snacks and cuddled together in the bed...such sweet memories we are making.
